The Moon Goddess has selected Elara as Silver Moon Pack Saintess for seven consecutive years, yet Alpha Kael Ashborne, her destined mate, awards the sacred title and its life-saving Silver Spring water to Rosalie, an adopted Omega sister he insists needs pack respect. Elara's parents celebrate Rosalie and scold Elara for objecting, mistaking her sudden compliance for maturity.
