Rayne has spent eight years hammering steel in obscurity after driving his weapon through the Empire's deadliest dragon, an act that earned him the name Apex Hunter. He pledged silence to the household that gave him refuge, trading renown for a quiet forge. When a fresh menace descends on their doorstep, the peace he built shatters and the retired warrior must answer the call.
