Rabbit-kin Rosalie walks out of her marriage to Julien carrying only two stuffed toys. She answers a call for a cub's mother and quickly wins over four-year-old Yara, the ward of Wolf King Lucien. Three days after her divorce becomes final, Lucien marries her. Julien stages a public humiliation, and Lucien answers by destroying the Ventress family. In the aftermath Rosalie learns that Yara is Lucien's orphaned niece, not his daughter, and that the child she adores now ties her to a family she never expected.
