On her first day as a licensed veterinarian, a new clinic employee treats an injured stray puppy. She removes his damaged tail and performs a full neutering. The unconscious animal then shifts into Alpha King Shawn, a six-foot-four naked werewolf ruler. Shawn pins her to the surgical table and demands she recover the discarded anatomy he calls his tail. She believes he is protecting wounded pride rather than asking for the body part. Supernatural authorities approach while her workplace grows unsafe, leaving her to face the consequences of her mistake.
